Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco

We start the day very early with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and drive to the Ollantaytambo train station in tourist transport.
Drive to Ollantaytambo train station
We drive for about 1 hour and 30 minutes to the train station in Ollantaytambo, enjoying the sunrise and the Sacred Valley landscapes.
Train ride to Aguas Calientes
We board the Expedition or Voyager tourist train, which crosses the Sacred Valley on a journey of about 1 hour and 50 minutes to Aguas Calientes, at the edge of the Cusco cloud forest.
Bus up to Machu Picchu
When we arrive in Aguas Calientes, we take a bus for about 25 minutes up to the entrance of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
Guided tour of Machu Picchu
Explore the Citadel of Machu Picchu with a professional guide for 2 to 3 hours. Discover its architecture, its history and how this wonder could sustain itself even in isolation.
Free time in Aguas Calientes

Yes, we recommend spending at least 1 or 2 days in Cusco before this tour to acclimatize and avoid altitude sickness, especially since you'll visit areas above 3,700 m.
Can I choose the type of train to Machu Picchu?
Yes. The Expedition or Voyager tourist train is included by default, but you can request an upgrade to the Vistadome train or other more comfortable services, subject to availability and an additional fee.
Can I climb Huayna Picchu on this tour?
